Power Heavy Duty Adds Bostick Truck Center as New Member

Aug 04, 2023

For nearly 60 years, Bostick Truck Center has made a habit of making the most of every opportunity, a streak they intend to take to even higher levels as one of the newest Power Heavy Duty members, the company said.

“We welcome Bostick Truck Center to our network and are excited by what they bring to our group,” said Jim Pennig, vice president of business development for the Vipar Heavy Duty family of companies. “Their impressive history of innovation and versatility makes them a great fit for Power Heavy Duty.”

Founded in 1966 and based in Pontiac, Mich., Bostick Truck Center is in its third generation of ownership with brothers Jim Bostick Jr., general manager, and Scott Bostick, parts manager, acquiring the company in 2010.

“We started originally as a spring shop and heavy-truck suspension specialists, and we’re still well known for that, but we’ve grown into an all-around aftermarket truck parts and service provider,” said Scott Bostick. “We take the parts business very seriously and feel joining Power Heavy Duty reinforces that message. Many of the resources and benefits of membership will be tremendously helpful and enable us to better serve our customers.”

Serving customers has driven Bostick Truck Center’s business decisions through the years as it has bocame one of the largest truck-body upfitters in their region, Power Heavy Duty said.

“It started with our customers asking us if we could do that type of work for them, if we could install a new dump body or repair a scissor hoist,” Bostick said. “We were already doing fabrication on the spring and suspension side, and body upfitting often requires some custom fabrication, so we added it to the services we provide, and things have continued to grow from there.”

Bostick Truck Center recently added a second building that nearly doubles their square footage and expands their service capabilities to 20 total bays. They also added a truck painting division to the solutions they offer.
